As the first European property of its name, the Park Regis has a lot to live up to, and it does not disappoint. The entrance of the hotel is sleek and glamorous, yet the friendly reception and concierge staff also manage to make it feel welcoming. This is something that the hotel seems to have mastered. Their almost laid-back approach to customer service creates a sense of homeliness and comfort in otherwise luxurious surroundings. The restaurant staff are happy to have casual chats with guests whilst serving champagne and fine cuisine, creating a refreshing take on the upscale dining experience.

The food offering in 1565 Restaurant is simple but effective, with a small but well executed dinner menu. Despite only containing 11 Main dishes, there is something on there for everyone: from a classic mixed grill to a ‘Sweet Potato & Coconut Polenta’ (I would recommend the ‘Lightly Spiced Monkfish’). Another attractive element of the hotel is the 1565 Outdoor Terrace. A suntrap in the sky, with beautiful views and delicious cocktails. Sitting on the terrace in the evening sunshine, surrounded by greenery, with a Bellini in hand makes one feel like they are summering on a rooftop in Barcelona as opposed to Birmingham. What’s more, the outdoor terrace is available for private hire, perfect for parties and drinks receptions.

The event space at the Park Regis Birmingham is, quite literally, on another level. A function room in the sky, Level 16 Meeting & Events floor can cater for your wedding, conference, dinner, drinks reception and everything in between. The Sky Loft on the 16th Floor boasts floor to ceiling windows and panoramic views of the city, turning the blank canvas of a room into a breath-taking space which will be sure to wow your guests. The Sky Loft then leads on to the Sky Gallery, a separate yet equally impressive space with a capacity of up to 300 delegates. The layout of the room makes it incredibly versatile, and blackout blinds ensure that corporate presentations are just as welcome here as extravagant weddings. If you are looking for an event space with a difference, no matter what the event may be, look to Level 16 at Park Regis.

Comfortable luxury appears to be a running theme throughout the Park Regis, which is continued within the hotel bedrooms. Spacious, functional and modern, the bedrooms do all that you need them to and a little more. Each room comes with a quality rain shower head, large smart TV and bed, whilst executive rooms have the addition of robes, slippers, lounge access and Nespresso machines (worth the upgrade, if you ask me).

The full English breakfast buffet in the restaurant mirrors the offering of the evening menu. With a variety of hot and continental items, both good quality, well-cooked and neatly displayed for guests to select from. There is also a sophisticated, self-service coffee machine ready and waiting for those who prefer to have their caffeine fix before engaging in any conversation (i.e. me… I am sensing a theme here).

The bottom line is, whatever it is that you be looking for in a venue, whether it’s a showstopping view, delicious food, stylish décor, outdoor space or a great location – you can find it at the Park Regis Birmingham.
